The old Guard’s Station consisted of this broken plastic chair, 
          where the guard sat, unless it rained.   
          
          
          Anyone could roam the corridors during the day and little was done at 
          night to control access into the building since many unauthorised 
          people had entry buttons to the building.

          The new Guard’s Station includes an Art Deco desk, a
          
          
          concierge system to buzz people in and to communicate
          
          
          with residents.  
          
          
          Note the addition of the Art Deco light
          
          
          fixtures original to Knightsbridge, bought and donated by
          
          
          Mr. Barick of Unit 503 and the Art Deco panel, "Welcome to 
          Knightsbridge Mansions.".
